I love my mountain bike.  I’ve been cycling for years, but until I found a mountain bike, I really didn’t ride.  I mean, it’s fun riding off road, but if you’re not on the right kind of bike, man it hurts.

Mountain bikes – not just for mountains

I think that most of the time that people see mountain bikes, they wonder whether they have to go up and down mountains on it.  And the answer is a resounding no, but if you DID, you’d probably find it easier than on any other kind of bike.  My favourite type of mountain bike is a hybrid, simply because it’s light enough to ride on the road, but sturdy enough to ride off-road too.  I think it’s one of the best inventions ever though.
